Product Description
Ribes sanguineum is a wonderful spring flowering shrub often known as the Flowering Currant. From April through to June, attractive buds begin to appear, opening into pretty pink flowers that stand out against the dark green luscious foliage. The flowers appear in clusters on the end of each stem and have a fabulous vanilla like scent. We therefore recommend planting in areas of the garden where this can be enjoyed such as borders or near doorways. This hardy shrub will grow to a mature height of 2m. although can be pruned back to a more manageable height if need be. We recommend planting in sunny or partially shaded areas in fertile, well-drained soil for the best results. 40cm bare rooted plants are supplied.
