Product Description
This brilliant white Rose is a stunning shrub that produces hundreds of flowers at a time. This is an elegant version of the popular polyantha rose The Fairy. With their many layers of petals that sit against the dark green, glossy foliage, this is the perfect plant for the patio or garden borders, where they can be grown as ground cover to eliminate weeds. They can also make a show-stopping cut flower display where the beautiful blooms can be enjoyed inside the home. The Fairy rose is known for its vigorous growth and is a great addition to the garden. Flowers July to September. Reaches a mature height of 40cm. Bare rooted plants supplied. Please note: Fragrant rose's perfume is usually the most potent on warm, sunny days, while sat in moist soil. Its important to imitate these conditions, as it will release the fragrant chemicals within the flowers. High humidity increases the longevity of the fragrance as it reduces the chance of the chemicals evaporating.

Growing at a glance…
Roses should be planted firmly, to ensure that wind will not disrupt the roots. Apply a balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in the spring/summer, and apply a mulch in the winter for protection. Can be pruned back to remove any dead wood or growth. It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To prepare your bare rose roots, soak them in a bucket of water for an hour to 24 hours (longer in spring). Then, dig a hole large enough to house the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little bit of fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in with the rest of the soil over the roots and tread in firmly. The depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, or as deep as they were in their pots.
