Product Description

Sagina subulata is a hardy evergreen perennial ideal for rock gardens, edging, pathways, containers, and ground cover planting. With its tiny white star-like blooms and moss-like emerald-green foliage, it brings delicate charm and year-round interest to gardens from late spring through summer.

This Sagina variety can reach up to 10cm in height with a spread of 10-50 cm, thriving best in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil and a position in full sun or partial shade. Its dense, mat-forming habit makes it particularly effective between paving stones, in alpine gardens, and as a low-maintenance ground cover.

Growing at a glance…

Pot grown plants are bigger than our modules or plugs. We grow them until they produce foliage, allowing you to plant them directly outdoors on arrival. Their mature state means that they will flower faster than smaller plants, giving you plants sooner than if you had started them from scratch at home. Perfect for any flower bed, border or container this season. Water when their soil feels dry to touch, particularly in warm bouts of weather in the early morning or late evening once the sun has set.
