Product Description
Salix G. (Black Pussy Willow) is an intriguing black Willow with glossy oval leaves in spring and red and black stems in winter. Early in the year purple-black catkins with red anthers appear that turn yellow with pollen. These uniquely shaped claw like catkins have earned this Salix the common name 'Pussy Willow'. A rapidly growing shrub whose branches make great addictions to cut flower displays. Holds the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for reliable performance, stability of colour and form and good resistance to pests and diseases.
