Growing at a glance…

Sow 6-8 weeks before the last frost (mid-May), keeping under cover and warm. To germinate, these seeds need warmth, so keep in a propagator, heated greenhouse, or on a sunny windowsill. Sow on the surface of the soil and cover lightly with compost. It will take anywhere between 7-21 days for these seeds to germinate, so patience is a must. Transplant seedling into trays when they're large enough to handle. Plant outside after danger of frost has passed, spacing 12 inches apart in well-drained soil.
