Sambucus nigra Black Lace produces stunning deep purple cut leaf foliage, the gorgeous pink flowers sit wonderfully against the foliage. Flowering is from May-June and is then followed by attractive red berries in the autumn. This Elderberry looks great planted at the back of a border or as a stand-alone shrub. A superb low maintenance deciduous shrub that needs little pruning once established. Height and spread 2.5 metres. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.

They will grow well in full sun or partial shade. They will tolerate hard pruning and grow to 2-2.5m in height and spread.Plant out as soon as possible. Plant in well dug prepared soil, and add a little manure or organic matter if possible.
