Growing at a glance…
For the best results, sow directly into position in the growing bed outside from mid May to July. Sow thinly 1cm deep in drills 10cm apart in soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 5cm apart, taking care not to disturb damage the remaining plants. Seedlings do not transplant well, which is why we suggest planting them directly outdoors. Keep the plants well-watered, especially when they're just seedlings, and keep them weed-free.
