Product Description

The Tulip New Triumph Introductions Collection brings together ‘Annie Schilder’, ‘Kissable’, ‘Librije’, ‘Orleans’ and ‘Pink Ardour’, a coordinated selection of Triumph Tulips moving from soft pinks through richer rose and warm mid-tones. Each cultivar contributes subtle variation in shade and bloom depth, creating a layered effect across planting rather than a uniform block of colour, while the classic cup-shaped flowers maintain a consistent, structured silhouette throughout.

Forming tight clumps of narrow foliage, these plants produce strong upright stems to around 40-50 cm, lifting blooms cleanly above the leaf base. Flowering in mid-spring, they provide a clear seasonal link between early bulbs and emerging perennials, with a naturally vertical habit that keeps definition in borders and mixed schemes. They perform best in well-drained soil in full sun for optimum stem strength and colour intensity, though they will tolerate light, open shade.

The Tulips in this New Triumph Introductions Collection pair effectively with Muscari for low-level contrast, Brunnera for broad foliage balance, and Heuchera for deeper tonal grounding, while Nepeta and Erysimum extend interest through the same seasonal window. Stipa and similar grasses introduce gentle movement that softens the tulips’ upright geometry without reducing their structural clarity.

Growing at a glance…

Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
