0:00 now you think that gardening Remains the

0:02 Same but it doesn't it's changing all

0:04 the time it's really big business and

0:06 the plants are changing the bulbs are

0:08 changing and lilies are changing pimento

0:11 lilies these are fantastic dwarf

0:14 beautiful but the Oriental release that

0:17 means they're going to flower in July

0:19 August time and the flowers are just as

0:22 big but the beauty of these is the stems

0:24 are much much shorter now for planting

0:27 I'm planting them in a pot you can plant

0:28 them out in the borders

0:30 and the fact that these are a dwarf

0:32 means that you can have them as ground

0:34 cover

0:34 now in a pot like these are and I've got

0:37 two packs of 20 here so I'm I'm gonna

0:39 plant up quite a few pots because the

0:41 perfume is fantastic

0:43 Now with uh some John in his compost I

0:46 put some Crocs in the bottom

0:48 just just really to allow drainage

0:50 because lilies do not like moisture at

0:53 the at the root Crown they actually

0:55 start to rot so let the moisture drain

0:57 away and any sort of drainage material

1:00 Drew

1:01 old Crocs polystyrene balls anything

1:04 that just allows that moisture to drain

1:06 away

1:07 now it's as simple as that with a bit of

1:09 John inish compost I use John inish

1:11 because it's really got the weight to it

1:13 and outside because these are all going

1:15 outside on the patio with with a bit of

1:17 weight to it it's not going to trouble

1:19 at all now in a pot this size

1:22 it'll take probably five bulbs which is

1:25 absolutely perfect and that will be a

1:27 massive color

1:28 and the colors are phenomenal this every

1:31 color you could actually wish for now

1:34 dwarf growing orientals that are

1:35 absolutely fabulous like I said dwarf

1:38 growing beautiful flowers and in August

1:40 July time oh you're gonna get some

1:43 perfume

1:44 and there's so many varieties Garden

1:46 Party white with golden yellow stripes

1:48 wonderful gold band Little John a

1:52 delicate pink with a dark stripe edged

1:54 White

1:54 Mona Lisa that'll put a smile on your

1:57 face muscaday stocky prolific white pink

2:00 spots oh I tell you or pimento Pottery

2:05 white oh the the choice is endless the

2:09 colors are endless but I'll tell you

2:11 what the perfume Remains the Same you

2:13 try them in a border ground cover you

2:15 can't beat it and it's as easy and as

2:17 simple as that with five in a pot done

2:20 in no time

2:21 some more compost on top

2:24 get your hands in there that's good

2:27 and I was thinking I saw on that program

2:29 the other day you know watching

2:31 gardeners getting their hands dirty and

2:33 that and

2:34 it's uh it's surprising really because

2:36 what you need is

2:38 to enjoy it and if you enjoy wearing

2:41 gloves wear them it doesn't matter it

2:43 doesn't make you less of a gardener

2:45 because you wear gloves I don't like

2:46 getting your hands filthy dirty it just

2:49 so happens that I don't mind

2:51 and it's as simple as that now I'm

2:53 planting these but I bought quite a few

2:56 because what I'm going to do and what

2:57 I'm going to try to do is use them in

3:00 the Border as ground cover because bear

3:02 in mind they dwarf are growing these

3:03 pimentos

3:05 they're wonderful for ground cover the

3:07 flowers are just as big so July August

3:09 we're getting the flowers and the

3:11 perfume is going to be fantastic

3:13 this is a really good development and

3:15 I'm looking forward to July and August

3:17 optimism you see that's what it's all

3:19 about

3:28 so we're out in the front garden and

3:30 this is more to do with traffic and cars

3:32 and movement going on but you want to

3:34 make a show you want to make a bit of a

3:36 hit for people that are coming

3:37 and these dwarf orientals are going to

3:39 do that I mean June time we're talking

3:41 about uh they're just about to come in

3:44 they're looking really good another

3:45 month these are going to look fantastic

3:48 but then we're going to move on to the

3:49 asiatics which are out now and what a

3:52 show you get a neighbor come you get

3:54 your friends coming they could not help

3:56 but stop and say oh fantastic what a

3:59 show but then you can hit him with the

4:02 perfume so as far as Little John's

4:04 concerned which is what this one's

4:06 called little Jeff thinks he's fantastic

4:08 and I'm gonna do this every year from

4:10 now on
