Product Description
Floral chambers are flushed green from the stems, blending seamlessly into sumptuous deep purple spathes, which envelop contrasting cream spadices. This stunning arum lily stands upon succulent tube-like stems, surrounded by broad, wavy foliage.Native to the hot and humid climates of South Africa, the Calla Lily is mostly found by lakes in moist soils, therefore prefers well-drained soil in a full or half sun location. Calla Lilies are dramatic additions to outdoor gardens with theirdistinctive funnel-shaped blossoms, but also make excellent cut flowers. We recommend accompanying them with low-growing plants to provide filling foliage over the base areas and covering up those thin stems. Anything that provides fullness and has ashallow root system serves best as a Calla companion, such as New Guinea Impatiens, Astilbes or Hydrangeas. Exhibition quality 16cm+ tubers supplied.
