Product Description
Add a touch of Asia to your garden this summer, with the Tibetan Dwarf Orchid. Native to China, the Tibetan Orchid (or Pleione Formosanum) produces a solitary bloom in late spring. When the flower starts to fade, a folded leaf unfurls and newpseudobulbs develop at its base. This unusual looking flower is a soft blend of cool lilac rose with a paler, finely fringed lip attractively speckled internally with orange and yellow. Create a colourful show towards the front of a partially shadedborder. You could even try emanating a natural Chinese landscape by planting the Tibetan Orchid in a cool area in the rock garden, with Primula Candelabra and Cercis chinesis Avondale for company, to create a tranquil look. Flowers May to June.Height 15cm. Top grade corms supplied.
