What are Heuchera Plants?

Native to woodlands in North America, Heuchera produce colourful foliage in shades of vivid purples, ravishing reds and deep greens. They're perfect for all gardens as they prefer shady spots, ideal for people that might not receive a lot of sunlight throughout the day. 

Also known as Coral Bells, Heuchera are great for planting anywhere in the garden, especially when used as ground cover in borders or for jazzing up a container. As long as you keep them in moist soil that's well-drained, your Heuchera varieties will thrive throughout the summer.

• Heuchera Palace Purple is a unique Heuchera variety that produces round maple-like purple semi-evergreen leaves. During mid-summer, the flowers bloom as a pale pink that evolves into a deep purple colour as the season progresses. This hardy perennial is the winner of an RHS award of garden merit, as it is easy to grow and maintain!
   
• Heuchera Electra is an exciting variety of Heuchera with its vibrant and eye-catching ruffled foliage, this is an increasingly popular plant for the modern gardener because of its versatility. 

• Heuchera Obsidian has distinctive lobed glossy leaves in the deepest maroon, darkening to near black as the plant matures. Pretty creamy white flowers are borne above the leaves on dark red stems from June.

• Heuchera Green Spice is a real must-have for your garden. This stunning semi-evergreen perennial has beautiful green foliage that's heavily marked with silver and deep red veins, accompanied by pale pink flowers in summer. The vibrancy of its leaf colour alone makes this perennial an eye-catching feature. Perfect for growing in patio pots, containers or at the front of garden borders, they are suitable for planting even in shaded locations.

• Heuchera Berry Smoothie produces vibrant evergreen leaves in a variety of shades of purple and pink with distinctive dark veins. The foliage is accompanied by burgundy stems and cream flowers from June to July. They are excellent all-year-round ground cover plants in the border and will excel in a shady spot where many other plants would struggle.
