Our Highlights from 2021

As 2021 comes to an end, we like to reminisce back on the year and think about all the things we've accomplished! From the obvious adventures to behind-the-scenes stuff, there's plenty to smile about this year. Every member of the J. Parker's team has worked incredibly hard, and we're excited to share with you some of our favourite accomplishments.
Launched Our Brand-New Website!

Over the last 18 months, our team worked with Space48 to conceptualise and create a new website that fulfils all the things we'd only ever dreamt that our website could do. Every team in the company played a huge part in getting this project over the finishing line, and now it's finally here!
The new site boasts of several exciting features. This includes advanced search, product filtering, wish lists, and of course, a modern design that's easy to use and even easier on the eye!
Head over to our website today to explore our new features AND our Spring 2022 range.
Working with Manchester Mind

This year, we wanted to focus more on working with the local community and assisting charities to raise money. Earlier in the year, we teamed up with the local mental health charity, Manchester Mind, to do just that.
They had the idea of creating a therapy garden for volunteers and staff to enjoy on breaks or during therapy sessions. Their allotment in Chorlton was the perfect place, but we agreed that it needed a bit of help to design and create their dream garden!
With the addition of a sensory garden, several seating areas, and both an enclosed and open-air garden, this new space is now the perfect relaxation spot for them to use throughout the year! To learn more about this project, you can read this blog that tells you all the ins and outs!
You can also visit the Manchester Mind website here to learn more about their cause and how help members of the local community.
Manchester Mind 'Hope Blooms' Collection
After helping the Manchester Mind team create their therapy garden, we both decided to take it one step further. Gardening is a wonderful way of helping your mind relax and keep your body active, which are two great practices that can improve your mental health.
With that in mind, a few months later, we teamed up with Manchester Mind yet again to create the Manchester Mind 'Hope Blooms' collection. This collection includes several spring bulbs in their brand shades of blues and whites to help you create a gorgeous seasonal display.
Plus, for every collection sold, £3 went to the Manchester Mind charity. This helped them raise money for the local community, as well as for those who volunteer.
Marie Curie & Yours Magazine Collaboration
After our collaboration with Manchester Mind came the opportunity to team up with 'Yours' magazine.
Working with the charity Marie Curie, which provides
care and support through terminal illness, we created a collection to help raise money. Their emblem is the Daffodil as this flower
is a symbol of positivity and has a special
association with remembrance.
In honour
of their vital work, we created the Marie
Curie Daffodil Collection which features five
different varieties of Daffodils. Each collection donates £4 from the sale directly to Marie Curie.
With both our Manchester Mind & Marie Curie collections, we managed to raise over £1000 which went directly to the charities to help them fund and care for those in need.

The Big Spring Bulb Donation
At the end of the Spring season, we made it our mission to donate a selection of our bulbs to local charities and businesses. We chose 20 great causes at random to receive two large bags of tulips and daffodils to help them create a gorgeous spring garden.
From schools, care homes, and hospitals, these bulbs went to those who we knew would really enjoy and cherish them, and we truly hope they make a difference once they bloom in the spring!
