With 20 years since our last RHS Tatton Flower Show appearance, we’re excited to announce that we will be returning – and with a bang. Partnering with last year’s RHS Young Designer of the Year finalist Rachel Platt, our ‘Chained to Tech’ garden symbolises tech addiction among young adults, shining a light on the instant gratification the younger generations experience when they reach for their devices.

Our Inspiration

Although we have social media to thank for opening the conversation around mental health, there is the obvious detrimental effect that it has on our well-being. A futuristic style partnered with ‘instantly gratifying’ plants is the heart of our show garden – but you’ll have to come to see it in person to get the full effect!

Partnering with Manchester Metropolitan University

Alongside Rachel Platt, we have partnered up with Manchester Metropolitan University to spearhead our research project ‘to measure the impact that horticulture can have on mental health’. This will help us further understand how simply spending more time in the garden can have such a positive impact on your mood and overall well-being.

What plants will we feature?

We have a few surprises up our sleeve! However, we can guarantee that you will enjoy a mixture of colourful and structural seasonal blooms and plants, from bulbs and perennials to evergreens and grasses - all of which fit a drought-tolerant theme. Come see us at Tatton to experience the garden in all its beauty.

The RHS Tatton Flower Show takes place from 19th – 23rd July 2023. Buy your tickets today on the RHS website. For regular updates on our RHS garden project, visit us here
