In 2015 Rose 'For Your Eyes Only'was awarded the prestigious and well ? deserved award of RHS Rose of the Year, and it isn?t difficult to see why. This riotously colourful floribunda rose produces expansive blooms, each with five petals which subtly graduate from deep cerise to delicate, blushed orange ? pink, punctuated at the centre with a flurry of golden ? yellow stamen. An early flowerer, 'For Your Eyes Only'blooms continually throughout summer and autumn, and its compact habit makes it the perfect ground cover plant or container rose. As an added bonus, this exquisite specimen also emits a delicate, sweet aroma, meaning that 'For Your Eyes Only? is best appreciated when planted near a path or patio where it?s subtle fragrance can be fully appreciated.

Planting

Plant in a hole large enough to take the roots when fully outspread.

Soil Type

Fertile, humus rich and well drained soil

It is best to plant roses in winter or early spring, provided there is little frost. To plant, dig a hole large enough to take the roots when fully outspread. Distribute the roots evenly around the hole and put in a little fine soil to which has been added a small amount of bonemeal. Fill in a further 5cm of ordinary soil over the roots and tread in firmly. Generally speaking the depth of planting roses will vary between 10-20cm, but examination of the plants should let you know quite clearly the depth to plant.
