Tulip Monte Flame

Monte Flame is a double tulip variety with perfectly formed ruffled blooms. No two of these bi-coloured red and yellow tulips are exactly the same - the colouring of each one is unique. Delicate red streaks climb up yellow (sometimes almost lime)petals, causing the flower heads to resemble apples held up by sturdy grey-green stems. Monte Flame is a show stopping tulip with its distinctive colouring and fresh fragrance, and makes a wonderfully unusual cut flower display. We recommend teamingMonte Flame with the yellow Monte Carlo and the melon coloured Monte Orange for a delightfully warm display of colour. Don't forget that tulips like to be planted late in October and November with the colder weather (it helps wipe out disease, too.)Plant bulbs pointy side up, 15cm deep and water well.
