Southport Flower Show - A Brilliant Return to One of Our Favourite Shows

After four years away, we were delighted to be back at the Southport Flower Show this year. Having last exhibited at the show in 2022, it was fantastic to return to one of our favourite events in the gardening calendar.

As the UK’s largest independent flower show, Southport attracts more than 55,000 visitors across four days, bringing together beautiful show gardens, spectacular floral displays, expert advice, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to discover something new for the garden.

There was plenty to see and do throughout the show, with a fantastic line-up of familiar faces, from Adam Frost, Arit Anderson and Joe Swift to Rob Rinder, Anton Du Beke and Mr Motivator. Beyond the plants, hundreds of stalls offered plenty to explore, with everything from artisan food and drinks to garden furniture, tools, clothing, homeware and more. With such a varied programme, there was something to appeal to gardeners of all ages and interests.

For our Offline Marketing Manager, Edward Doherty, it was the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that made the return particularly special:

But, of course, we were also there with our own trade stall. As always, it was great to see which plants caught the attention of visitors, with five varieties proving particularly popular throughout the show. All five are available to shop online alongside the rest of our range.

Agapanthus ‘Twister’
A striking bi-coloured variety, with white flowers and deep blue throats that bring a bold splash of colour to summer borders and containers.

Presenting… Driftwood Cottage

Popular plants from our extensive range weren’t the only focus of our silver-medal-winning trade stand; as front and centre, we had a colourful mini garden display named Driftwood Cottage.

The display explored the connection between coastal and cottage-style planting, bringing the two together in a fun and colourful design centred around creating an inviting space to sit, relax and enjoy the garden.

Natural elements and relaxed planting gave Driftwood Cottage a welcoming feel, while the coastal influences added character and brought the theme to life. The display demonstrated how the two planting styles can work together to create a colourful and characterful garden.

It proved a big hit with visitors throughout the show, with many stopping to take a closer look, spend a few moments enjoying the garden and take photographs. It was fantastic to see people engaging with the display and taking inspiration from its planting and design.
