Double Late Tulip Bulbs

Double late tulips are some of the most impressive spring blooms! This is thanks to their double rows of petals which help create a plump, rounded shade. In fact, many gardeners compare them to peonies, which is why they’re also known as peony tulips.  
 
These varieties flower in late summer and shouldn’t be mixed up with double early tulips – although they do look very similar! Tulip Creme Upstar is a great example of a popular double early peony tulip. Its apricot orange and yellow double blooms will decorate the border with ease. Similarly, Tulip Ice Cream is an exciting variety for the spring garden thanks to its impressive flower heads. So called because of its pure white petals, which appear to emerge from the lower dark pink petals. A gorgeous choice for growing in groups or pairing with your favourite seasonal blooms.
